I started this blog near the end of 2019 and have been consistently releasing two blog posts per week ever since. I recently surpassed 365 blog posts which means that, if you felt so, you could read a post a day for over a year at this point (give it a shot with the newly added Random Post button that is in the widget)! While I’ve been promoting my other work via the blog in subtle ways over the years, I’ve never written a full article dedicated to it. Therefore, I thought that I’ve earned the right to do a harmless bit of self-promotion and taking a look at some of the other places you can find me.
I’ve mentioned my main YouTube channel in the past and think it logical to start there. The channel itself is called “Immortallium” which I’ve since adopted as my online persona and it eventually became a channel dedicated to the mediums of anime and manga with discussions about specific topics, reviews, recommendations etc. I’ve also been laying the ground to begin looking at and discussing tokusatsu which has become a recent interest of mine. If you’re interested in anime, manga or tokusatsu then I would fully encourage you to give my channel a shot and see if you enjoy the content.
Soon after starting this blog, I rediscovered my love for horror films and began to gorge myself on them. As time passed, I began to grow a little frustrated with my inability to discuss these movies and many of the things that fascinated me about them. Therefore, I decided to set up a YouTube channel last year called “Immortallium Horror” where I could produce videos about horror films such as reviews, discussions as well as show off my collection. Admittedly, there isn’t a ton of content up there right now, about 16 videos as of the time of this article, but I’d really appreciate taking a look at my videos and telling me what you think about them.
As I’m sure you’re well aware of by now from this blog, I love video games and have had some truly incredible experiences playing them. However, I think it’s fair to say that YouTube is more congested when it comes to video game content than anime, manga or horror and so I spent some time trying to figure out how to create a gaming channel that could stand out. Inspired by the Dark Souls playthrough on TGN Squadron as well as Prepare to Try, I decided to set up “Victory Achieved Gaming” where I would assist my friend Kathlynn playing through some challenging video games that I’d played before in a format that I call “Guided Blind Let’s Play”. Again, I’d highly encourage you to check the channel out, watch the videos whether they be the full-length videos or the shorts and let me know what you think.
The last area where I want to do a harmless bit of self-promotion is my work on UK Anime Network. As a fan of the website for several years, I was overjoyed when I applied to write for them and was accepted. Since then, I’ve continued to write for them, mainly doing reviews for anime, manga, video games and live-action while also writing a couple of articles discussing the experimental shorts of Osamu Tezuka and my desire for tokusatsu to become more popular. There’s a lot of great content on the site beyond what I write as well so I’d recommend you check it out.
Whether you intend to simply keep reading this blog or if you’re going to check out my YouTube channels or my work on UK Anime Network, I greatly appreciate the support. Let me know your thoughts on my harmless bit of self-promotion, whether you were aware of the other work that I’ve been doing, what your thoughts are on my other work, whether you’ve checked them out and any additional information you might have on the topic.
Thanks for reading and if you wish to seek any of the titles I mentioned, don’t hesitate to use amazon.co.uk or amazon.com for all of your needs! Also feel free to follow my curator page on Steam “JRPG Reviews” for thoughts and opinions on any JRPGs that I play and my YouTube channel “Victory Achieved Gaming” where I guide my friend through challenging games.
